The “garden museum” of Taman Lagenda Dalam Langkawi enlivens the waterfront with its gigantic carvings depicting Langkawi myth and folklore. Statues represent the legend of Mahsuri, an unjustly executed princess and one of Langkawi’s best-known legends. According to local belief, giants Mat Cincang and Mat Rayas are said to be imprisoned in the mountains that bear their names.
