Langkawi Island is accessible only by air or ferry. After arriving at either Langkawi International Airport or the Kuah Ferry Terminal at Kuah Jetty, you can take a taxi or e-hailing services to Bayview Hotel Langkawi. Taxi fares from the airport to the hotel start at about MYR 38, while fares from the jetty start from MYR 10. Taxis and rideshares are also available for getting around the island, and the main taxi station of Kuah sits directly opposite the hotel.
Many visitors take a ferry service to Langkawi. Air-conditioned ferries depart from Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah, Penang and various cities in Thailand. At the Kuah Jetty harbour, about 2 kilometres from Bayview Hotel Langkawi, you can order a taxi or rent a car or motorcycle for your stay on the island. Farther from the hotel, the Telaga Harbour Marina is the boarding location for a trip to Koh Lipe Island for a day of deep-sea diving.
