Where We Are

Convenient location in the heart of Kuah

Langkawi is the largest of about 100 islands dotting the Andaman Sea in Northern Malaysia. Known as Pulau Langkawi to the locals, the island’s sparkling sunshine, clear cobalt-blue waters and rolling green hills give it the well-earned reputation as a tropical paradise. It also has an enterprising heart evidenced by the thriving duty-free markets and trendy shops in Kuah town. Set within the Kuah commercial district, Bayview Hotel Langkawi is about 5 minutes’ drive from the Kuah ferry terminal and 30 minutes from the airport. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll be happy to know that the fascinating journey to explore the Mangrove Kilim Geoforest Park’s natural inhabitants, is only a 17-minute drive away.

By Plane

Air travellers fly into Langkawi International Airport, the island’s only airport, about 25 kilometres from Bayview Hotel Langkawi. Several airlines have regular flights into Langkawi from Singapore, China, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Subang, bringing passengers connecting from other airlines and cities. It’s a short ride from Langkawi Airport to Bayview Hotel Langkawi, with taxi services and e-hailing services readily available.

By Car

Langkawi Island is accessible only by air or ferry. After arriving at either Langkawi International Airport or the Kuah Ferry Terminal at Kuah Jetty, you can take a taxi or e-hailing services to Bayview Hotel Langkawi. Taxi fares from the airport to the hotel start at about MYR 38, while fares from the jetty start from MYR 10. Taxis and rideshares are also available for getting around the island, and the main taxi station of Kuah sits directly opposite the hotel.

By Ferry

Many visitors take a ferry service to Langkawi. Air-conditioned ferries depart from Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah, Penang and various cities in Thailand. At the Kuah Jetty harbour, about 2 kilometres from Bayview Hotel Langkawi, you can order a taxi or rent a car or motorcycle for your stay on the island. Farther from the hotel, the Telaga Harbour Marina is the boarding location for a trip to Koh Lipe Island for a day of deep-sea diving.
